iPhone to cost Rs.31K in India ?

oh my god.. what on earth are they talking about ? A price that is far greater than even entry level laptops around ! So much for the hype ? I don’t believe, the service providers (AIRTEL or VODAFONE) are going to subsidize the phone in India as AT&T did in the US. That said, I expect iPhone not being to be left an exception to a whole lot of electronics being trafficked from the US to India.

    Well,
    Apple will soon realize that India is a volume game and prices will be slashed.
    As we have already seen with Vodafone doing it. Indian consumer is price sensitive and they want good things for less price….

    Could be true. I remember reading news in Rediff site this morning about a possible 15% price cut. It also threw some numbers like around 5K phones sold till date in India (that says it all about the patronage)
